Welcome to Lira.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lira platform, website, and related services.
By accessing or using Lira, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Lira is an independent payroll verification and control platform.
Lira reconstructs expected payroll from customer-provided data and rules, compares it to actual payroll, and flags discrepancies for review.
It also lets customers simulate the payroll impact of rule changes.
Lira does not execute payroll payments and should not be considered a substitute for legal, accounting, tax, or payroll advice.
2. Accounts
Users must provide accurate information when creating or accessing an account.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their credentials and for all activity occurring under their account.
Organizations are responsible for managing user access and permissions within their workspace.
3. Customer Data
Customers retain ownership of all data uploaded to or processed within Lira.
By using the service, customers grant Lira permission to store, process, and analyze that data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Lira does not acquire ownership of customer data.
4. Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with platform operation or security
- Upload malicious software and harmful content
- Use Lira for unlawful activities
- Attempt to access another organization's data
5. Service Availability
Lira will make reasonable efforts to maintain service availability.
However, the service may experience interruptions due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, security events, or factors outside our control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
6. Simulations, Verification, and Calculations
Lira provides payroll verification, reconciliation, and simulation tools.
Verification results, including expected-payroll calculations, comparisons with actual payroll, and flagged discrepancies, depend on the accuracy and completeness of customer-provided data, the rules configured in Lira, and the scope of the verification performed. Simulation results are estimates based on customer-provided data, rules, assumptions, and configurations.
Results are provided as decision-support tools. They do not constitute payroll execution, a formal professional audit, a guarantee that payroll is accurate or complete, legal advice, accounting advice, tax advice, employment advice, or regulatory compliance advice. The absence of a flagged discrepancy does not mean that no error exists.
Customers are responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving outputs before making compensation, payroll, budgeting, workforce, or employment decisions.
7. Intellectual Property
The Lira platform, software, design, branding, and related materials remain the property of Lira.
These Terms do not grant ownership of the platform itself.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lira shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Lira's total liability arising from use of the service shall not exceed the fees paid by the customer during the preceding twelve months.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service if these Terms are violated, if required by law, or if continued access creates security or operational risks.
Customers may discontinue use of the service at any time.
10. Changes to the Service
We may modify, improve, or discontinue features of the platform from time to time.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Lira operates, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used in connection with our website and platform, including our use of website analytics. Accepting these Terms does not replace any separate consent required by applicable privacy law.
